Miguel Escorihuela Gascón Single Vineyard – The Crown Jewel of Argentine Winemaking
Miguel Escorihuela Gascón Single Vineyard is the most exclusive and prestigious wine crafted by Escorihuela Gascón—a masterpiece that embodies the pinnacle of Argentine viticulture. Sourced from a single high-altitude vineyard and produced through meticulous, small-lot winemaking, it is a true expression of terroir, elegance, and innovation.
Harvested by hand at night to preserve freshness, the grapes undergo manual berry selection before fermenting in 390-liter French oak egg-shaped barrels. These custom vessels allow for natural micro-fermentation without mechanical intervention, enhancing the wine’s aromatic purity and textural complexity. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in the same barrels, followed by a second 5-month refinement in French oak.
In the glass, it reveals a deep violet-red color with luminous reflections. The nose is intensely aromatic, offering black cherries, wild blueberries, plum compote, and subtle floral notes of violets and chamomile, layered with mountain herbs, balsamic tones, and delicate oak spices. On the palate, it is broad, layered, and profound, with fine-grained tannins, mineral depth, and a vibrant, refreshing acidity. The finish is long, polished, and unforgettable.
This exceptional wine pairs impeccably with dry-aged côte de boeuf, duck breast with black cherry glaze, or beef Wellington—dishes served at the finest American restaurants.
With a cellaring potential of 25+ years, this is a wine for collectors and serious enthusiasts—a singular icon of Argentine excellence.
