Traditional Mate (Hot)
Fill 2/3 of your mate gourd with yerba, shake gently, insert the bombilla, and add water at 70–80°C. Refill as you drink.
Mate Cocido (Tea Style)
Add 1 tablespoon to a cup of hot water, steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain.
