Description
The Adrianna Vineyard River Stones has received outstanding ratings of 99 points from Robert Parker and 98 points from James Suckling. This wine is named after a small plot covered with oval white stones, which once belonged to the bed of an ancient river. The abundance of stones allows for optimal drainage and adaptation to extreme temperatures. The stones retain the daytime heat, radiating it at night, moderating the nocturnal cold. Additionally, on extremely cold nights, they act like ice cubes, moderating the daytime heat. Malbecs from calcareous soils are extraordinarily aromatic, concentrated, and opulent. This wine can be enjoyed both in its youth and after several decades.
The Adrianna Vineyard River Stones comes from a very stony part of the great Adrianna Vineyard in Gualtallary, near the Seco River. It is the equivalent of the White Stones white, with a north-facing exposure, the warmest exposure, which performs well in cooler years. The wine has harmony and subtlety, suggesting violets and wet stones, with a rare combination of power and elegance, with minerality and spices, precise, focused, and harmonious. The tannins are abundant but very fine and ripe with a chalky sensation on the finish. It has 13.8% alcohol and very good freshness, acidity, and healthy parameters.
Recommended Pairing: This exceptional Malbec pairs perfectly with grilled beef cuts, such as filet mignon or ribeye, and roasted lamb dishes. It is also ideal for pairing with cured cheeses and gourmet dishes like veal stew with wild mushrooms or truffle risotto. Its structure and complexity also make it an excellent choice for pairing with rich and spicy sauces
