Description

Yacochuya Yacuil Malbec 750ml – A Masterpiece from Salta

From the prestigious Valles Calchaquíes in Salta, Argentina, at one of the world’s highest vineyard altitudes, comes Yacochuya Yacuil Malbec, a wine that embodies both authenticity and elegance. Crafted under the expertise of renowned winemaker Raúl Dávalos, this exceptional expression showcases the unique potential of Argentina’s northwestern terroir.

Made from 100% Malbec, the grapes undergo fermentation at controlled temperatures (25°C) in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts that preserve the natural character of the fruit. A gentle malolactic fermentation follows, with an extended maceration of 35 days, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth, intensity, and complexity.

In the glass, it reveals a brilliant, deep violet color. The nose is powerful and expressive, with aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and violets, elegantly framed by subtle hints of spices and minerality. On the palate, it offers a rich and velvety texture, with concentrated fruit flavors, firm yet polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. At 15.5% alcohol, it remains harmonious, delivering both strength and finesse.

Perfect for refined pairings, this Malbec shines alongside grilled ribeye, slow-cooked lamb shank, venison with red wine reduction, or duck confit. It also elevates aged cheeses such as Manchego or Parmigiano-Reggiano, and for a bold finale, pairs beautifully with dark chocolate truffles.

Yacochuya Yacuil Malbec is more than a wine—it is a true statement of terroir, craftsmanship, and high-altitude elegance, created for collectors and lovers of Argentina’s most iconic varietal.
