Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino SPECIAL VINTAGE 2004 — Case of 6 Bottles

A collector’s six-bottle case from Catena Zapata’s iconic Argentino Malbec 2004 vintage. It comes from the Adrianna vineyard in Gualtallary (1,450 m) and Nicasia vineyard in La Consulta (1,095 m), two exceptional terroirs of the Uco Valley, Mendoza.

Warm, dry conditions concentrated the fruit, while cool March nights contributed floral and black pepper notes. The wine was fermented in oak and aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak.

Deep purple with violet reflections. Aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry and cassis unfold with violet, graphite, dark chocolate, sweet spice, espresso and tobacco. Broad and silky on the palate, with firm tannins, vibrant acidity and outstanding aging potential.

Pair it with roast lamb, a bone-in ribeye with chimichurri or foie gras with black truffle.
