Bodega Caro Aruma Malbec 750ml – The Wine of the Mountain Nights

Bodega Caro Aruma Malbec is an exceptional wine made from 100% Malbec grapes grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza, where intense sunlight and cool Andean nights create a perfect balance between elegance and character. Its name, Aruma, means “night” in the Quechua language, evoking the purity of the mountain air and the intensity of Mendoza’s starry skies.

Founded in 1999 by Nicolás Catena and Baron Eric de Rothschild, Bodega Caro was born from the ambition to unite the winemaking traditions of France and Argentina, combining the Catena family’s passion for high-altitude Malbec with the enological excellence of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).

Under the direction of renowned winemaker Philippe Rolet, Aruma embodies the pure varietal expression of Argentinian Malbec through traditional winemaking without oak aging, preserving its authentic and fruit-forward style.

With a deep, brilliant red color, this wine reveals intense aromas of plums, red fruits, and violets, accompanied by subtle notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is round, fresh, and balanced, with soft tannins and vibrant acidity that provide elegance and depth. The finish is long, delicate, and persistent, reflecting its high-altitude origin.

Perfectly suited to modern American cuisine, Aruma pairs beautifully with herb-butter filet mignon, glazed short ribs, smoked brisket, or a grilled rack of lamb. It also complements sautéed mushrooms, pasta with red wine sauces, and semi-aged cheeses.

Aruma Malbec represents the perfect union between French savoir-faire and Argentinian passion — a wine of character, freshness, and sophistication, true to the spirit of Bodega Caro.
